In 2009 Twilight Signs along with First Neon was awarded the project for the removal of the two Macquarie Bank Sky signs on the 10-20 Bond Street Building. The tendering process leading up to the citation of the project to us was a difficult feet.
Lumley Insurance Limited who are currently situated at Kent Street in the Sydney CBD, own two extremely old neon sky signs, which we have been servicing for the last 3 years. Our first introduction to the sign came about when the Facilities Manager for Lumley was searching for a new service company for the signage as the previous two maintenance companies seemed to have difficulty getting the two neon lit logos back in complete working order.
This project is one of a high profile for Twilight Signs, one with many restraints on our regular work operations which we successfully adapted to. The rules and regulations of working within airport grounds are stringent and had to be strictly followed, all work procedures have to be approved and abide by the work limitations set by of SACL (Sydney Airport Corporation Limited).
In 2017 ACU, Australian Catholic University underwent a branding modification. Located in the heart of North Sydney, the ACU Headquarters building standing 20 floors high - required a combination of unique access and lifting equipment to coordinate the task.
Since 2013 Twilight Signs have been servicing and maintaining the AMP brand signage throughout Sydney and Canberra on behalf of First Neon. The iconic Circular Quay location is a national stand out, with the Bridge Street AMP Centre rising over 40 stories high with views of the iconic Sydney Harbour. The AMP building accommodates three large illuminated and animated sky signs that run relentlessly.
Working alongside Bentleigh Group & Hyundai Motors, Twilight Signs was involved in the installation of several distinctive dealership signage inclusions.
Hyundai desired to look different to other dealerships across the nation. A ingenious design decision to fabricate pre-grooved patterned façade therefore, instead of the usual flat ACM cladded façade.
In 2016 we were initially engaged through Bentleigh Group to take charge of a sky sign project in Sydney’s CBD at the contemporary ING Headquarters on Margaret Street. The contract involved the installation and commissioning of two large illuminated sky signs displaying ‘ING DIRECT’ and the addition of the reputable ING Lion symbol.
Twilight Signs have been contracted by Point Media over the past 5 years to assist in the installation and site structural advancements for numerous digital screen rollouts throughout Sydney shopping precincts.
In January 2017 Twilight Signs was awarded the opportunity to work alongside Harkess-Ord for
the national rebrand of Mercedes Benz dealerships across NSW. The scope involved debranding of all former Mercedes-Benz signage, render all surfaces, improve and upgrade each of
the electrical components, painting of the dealership in the new Mercedes-Benz corporate colours and lastly the installation of all new Mercedes-Benz signage.
Mercure Hotel Central is influential in hotel neon signage as it’s a vivid Magenta Pink. This choice of colour, singles the signage out as a unique sky signs in the Sydney CBD. The definitive neon signs illuminate particularly well providing an extraordinary night presence as commuters enter the Sydney CBD.
The residential Latitude Tower in Lavender Bay North Sydney has a rooftop brand identity space
owned and managed by First Neon. In previous years the multi sided building was branded by the
iconic red Sharp signs which our team installed and maintained for almost a decade on behalf of
First Neon. In recent years the identity space was acquired by ‘Platinum’ an asset management
pullman hotel mascot
In 2015 Twilight Signs was selected by First Neon to management the installation of a detailed signage package for the newly built Pullman Hotel Mascot. The signage package involved a vertical rail mounted illuminated Pullman Sign, roof level sky sign, and multiple ground level directory totem signs.
Queen Victoria Building and Twilight Signs have had long standing relationship as preferred access
and rigging company. Twilight Signs were engaged in 2016 to work together with Stone Mason and
Artist who were tasked to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all the copper domes.
Nissan Motors locations involve the installation of several classic dealership form signs.
However this may be a normal dealership installation, Nissan Motors have chosen a stand out element known as the tablet. This starts as a large steel structure which visually looks as if it is hanging off the building over the entry to these dealerships. The structure is then cladded in ACM sheeting matching corporate colours.
